Susan Brodie has helped organizations identify and evaluate clean and renewable energy, energy efficiency, brightfields, and sustainability opportunities. Her work brings together stakeholders and experts across energy and environmental realms to generate collaborative problem-solving and decision-making. She develops highly innovative programs, analyzes complex policies, connects people across the political spectrum, and conducts outreach to further renewable energy and sustainability goals alongside environmental, health and safety (EHS) systems that support compliance.
Susan is currently Director of Environment, Health and Safety at DataBank, where she is designing and implementing an ISO 14001 and 45001 aligned EHS Management System and leading a team that supports EHS compliance at DataBank’s nearly 70 data centers. Susan contributes to energy and sustainability initiatives as well, but not as much as she would like! Her previous positions have included corporate EHS roles at GE, running a clean energy trade association (https://www.heatispower.org/), and providing energy, sustainability, and EHS management system services at Geosyntec Consultants and her Convergence Associates. One of her favorite projects to lead was Colorado Brightfields: https://brightfields.colorado.gov/.
